Studly Pines

Handsome, hunky, and humongously hung -- who can resist an alluring total package like Dipper?

I drew this Dipper back around October; there were a few bits I left unfinished and forgot about for a while. I wasn't expecting to keep the super-sized dick, but it turned out so good right away that I couldn't help but keep it. The smaller package came second, for a more 'reasonable' appearance that still made him quite hung. I also tried my hand at designing an alternate outfit for Dipper; the forest-green-tipped raglan feels within his understated stylistic wheelhouse.

High Five Levels Up

Stacking up all those powerups has given him a huge buff. Now he's going for a high score as huge as his biceps.

I've wanted to draw Five from Glitch Techs for a very long time, and not only am I happy to finally have this out, I also really like how this turned out artistically. The shading and the myriad outfit alts added quite the challenge, but the art style pretty much demanded the added detail. Hopefully that won't prove too daunting to drawing more of him in the future...

Bigger Bros

Fan art of AtomicKingBoo's (Twitter, DeviantArt) new male OCs, "The Bros", who caught my eye enough three weeks ago (!) that I just had to draw fanart of them. At first I was going to just draw regular fanart, but I couldn't help myself from beefing them all up. Heightening my interest is the fact that it's a rarity to see male original characters established in straight art, so besides how appealing they were, I also felt compelled to support the concept on principle, too. There are a few more guys on Atomic's roster, but they were posted after I started this piece, so they're not included here.

I only had one image to go off of for all these characters, so it was a little tricky to figure out how best to present them -- especially from a muscle growth context -- so I did have to interpret quite a bit and perhaps make a few assumptions. Trying to adapt the art style was its own challenge, as the linework was much more complicated than the usual characters and styles I deal with. I don't think I did too badly, but there are parts that I can still nitpick.

From left to right, a little peek into how I unofficially interpreted them:

Dennis struck me as a happy-go-lucky everyman main character, and his physique reflects that; impressively fit, but not stunning or overly built. A musculature meant to be attainable on the side somewhat.

Grimace (yes, that's his name, take it up with Atomic) and his pale, soft features were the first thing I noticed, so I leaned into the seemingly present goth angle and went for a (pardon my appropriation of a gay concept) "femboy" archetype, exaggerating the buttocks and chest but keeping him fairly lithe everywhere else. I don't like the idea of the femboy, nor am I attached to Grimace as much as some of the others, so it was hard for me to pull this off in a way that still felt tasteful to my own sensibilities.

Billy was easy to figure out; he came off to me as a stereotypical nerd, and if you've seen my other art, you know what I do around here with nerds. A fantasy-fueled superhero's build was the order of the day, and if I didn't spend the last week frustrated with how long this art was taking I probably would've chiseled him out with even more details. The jacket in the original art was a last-minute removal; I didn't like the way it covered up so much of his form and ruined the overall shape.

Zack was also stupidly easy to discern for me; my mind easily slotted him into a jock persona (though not necessarily an arrogant or douchey one). The challenge was to make him appreciably bigger than Billy without challenging the nerd's aspirational stature. The two are relatively similarly sized as a result, though Zack is just bigger -- boasting carved a eight-pack and a cock bulge his sweatpants can't even begin to hide (probably one of the bigger liberties I took in this art!). In short, he's someone you'll see down at the gym later, and he has the body to prove it.

Miguel was the hardest to pin down, but my first impression of him read as a carefree, easygoing type. His body is thus meant to be a bit of a low-effort physique; not really all that big, but larger than the intentionally slender frame I did for Grimace. I changed up the body hair for technical reasons given I don't really have a brush for it in my art workflow.

I hope AtomicKingBoo enjoys this interpretation of his characters even more than I enjoyed his original art, and there are a few alts below -- usually I wouldn't do an NSFW alt involving just a bunch of guys (see that I split them out in the Boys of Summer set last year), but I did so here for the sake of convenience. This is also my first completed art of 2023 -- at the end of March! I've done a lot of WIPs over the past four months, but nothing's been ready to come out just yet. Hopefully that changes in the near future.

Gridiron Gaze

Timeout in the third quarter. It was pouring down at Casper High tonight. It wasn't easy running up a two touchdown lead for the Ravens... Danny needed a break, but he'd end up giving every girl in the stands an eyeful.

Heavily inspired by this Dash fanart from constellaj on Tumblr, whose art has been great in spurring my own creative juices as of late. Chin alt and Danny Jockdom versions included too, as is relatively usual, 'cause who better than I to draw for my own smutfic.

The New Jock Swing of Things

It's hardly been a week since Danny Fenton changed from an unassuming guy everyone saw as weird to a musclebound jock, transforming into the school's new top dog almost overnight. Getting Casper High's attention and dethroning Dash Baxter was easy; it was adjusting to his new size, and the many new capabilities it offered, that was going less smoothly. At least he's got his friends -- including a few new ones -- to help him get the hang of it.

I've had a rocky few weeks, in which some things happened that put whether I'd be able to do art again the way I have into question. At the very least, I've been reassured, as much as some other things will eventually have to get worked out. There's a real shift in perspective on this one, which was refreshing; I've never actually drawn Danny as anything but a smooth-operator alpha jock, so this snapshot, perhaps much earlier in that journey, is some underexplored conceptual territory.

Danny Fenton, Varsity Jock

What do you mean, Danny’s ‘too young’ to be on the varsity team? Are you going to look at that muscular, athletic, chiseled body in the face and tell him he’s not meant to be on varsity? Are you going to look at his unbelievable on-field performance and tell him he doesn’t deserve to be Casper High’s star player… because of his grade level? Danny Fenton deserves his Casper High varsity regalia more than anyone this school’s seen in years. How dare you suggest such a ridiculous, absurd notion?

This is the merger of two unrelated drawings. In January 2021 I started on an image of Danny in a tank top. I switched art programs while it was half-finished, and it was likely going to just sit there forever unfinished. I had an entirely unrelated pose I started on much more recently; worried about not making it distinctive enough, I remembered the old tank top idea, and given that's a relatively simple concept to port over, I decided to throw it in here. Therefore, this is an amalgam of two different concepts, put together into one studly Danny. Somdude424 (DeviantArt, Twitter) is at least partly to thank for the original "Danny in a tank top" concept, as he was working on a Danny muscle growth sequence of his own at the time that inspired me. It was a singlet, in reality, but I interpreted it as a tank top and here we are.
